Temperature checks: All staff and children will be required to get their temperature checked each day upon arrival and must be fever-free before entering THCA. When parents arrive at check-in, we’ll ask them to take their child’s temperature with the center’s thermometer. Parents will share their child’s temperature reading with the center staff and it will be recorded at sign-in.
Masks for adults: All teachers are required to wear masks. We ask that all adults wear a mask during drop-off and pick-up, or any time you're in our center.
Masks for kids: Students ages 5 and up (or any child in our school-age program) are required to wear face masks in our centers.
Until further notice and to minimize potential exposure, we ask that families not walk children to the classroom. Please check in with staff and they'll escort your child to their classroom.
Toys, books, cubbies and other high- touch surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned daily.
Outdoor play structures will be utilized by one class at a time. All children and staff must wash their hands immediately after returning from the playground.
Staff will also have with them hand sanitizer and wipes.
Children are released only to those pre-authorized by parents - PHOTO I.D. is required
Our video monitors will allow our Directors to view every classroom and front door.
Only parents and employees are able to enter our facility.
Tender Hearts Childcare Academy always does a complete screening of all employees. Our staff are fingerprinted and a thorough background check is conducted.
They must also undergo an adult Health Physical and TB test.
The safety and security of Tender Hearts Childcare Academy children is our top priority.
Handwashing and sanitizing: Everyone who enters the building will need to wash hands, and we’ll continue to integrate 20-second handwashing into the curriculum. Hand sanitizer will also be available throughout the center.
Covering coughs and sneezes: For our students under 5 years old who are not wearing masks, we will continue to model and teach them how to safely cover coughs and sneezes with tissues or elbows. We will help students remember to wash hands after touching their face or covering their coughs and sneezes.
